Join us for the LA Strong – Scan Your Photos Drive, a community-driven effort to help Los Angeles families preserve their memories while supporting wildfire relief efforts. Over three days, we will be scanning a total of 250,000 photos—completely free of charge!

Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Each Day)
📍 Location: Playa Vista

📌 What’s Included in Your Registration Fee of $20.25?

100% free photo scanning (up to 500 photos per person)
Brand new USB thumb drive with your digital scans to take home
Support for Picturli volunteers (your fee helps provide meals for our amazing team)
Any remaining proceeds will be donated to Fire Aid LA

👉 There is NO charge for scanning your photos or providing a USB drive. The registration fee is solely to support event operations and a great cause.

📸 VERY IMPORTANT: HOW TO PREPARE YOUR PHOTOS

To ensure we can scan your photos, please follow these strict guidelines. If your photos do not meet these conditions, we will NOT be able to scan them during the event.

Accepted Photos:
✅ Loose photos (NOT in albums or frames)
✅ Sizes between 3 x 5 inches and 8.5 x 11 inches
✅ Photos in clean condition (no glue, tape, paperclips, or staples)

Not Accepted for Free Scanning:
❌ Photos still attached to albums or album pages
❌ Torn, damaged, wrinkled, or fragile photos
❌ Any photos with adhesive residue, paperclips, or attachments

📌 Need Help with Other Photo Types?
We have professional equipment to scan albums, slides, negatives, and oversized or fragile photos. However, these services require a separate appointment and are NOT included in this event. Please inquire at the event if you need assistance with these formats, or you can book a complimentary consultation.

  • This event is open to all Los Angeles residents who sign up in advance and follow the participation guidelines.

    If the fires have impacted you, please let us know.

  • Use a ruler to measure. Approximately 5” of photos is 500 photos!

  • Yes! All photos must be loose and free of any adhesives, clips, or pages. Photos that don’t meet these conditions cannot be scanned at the event.

  • Your scanned photos will be provided on a USB thumb drive. You’ll receive your originals back immediately after scanning.

  • We can absolutely scan more than 500 photos! However, for this free community drive, each participant is limited to 500 photos per appointment to ensure that we can serve as many people as possible.

    If you have more than 500 photos that you’d like scanned, we’d love to help! You can schedule a separate appointment with Picturli for additional scanning services.

  • Yes, we can absolutely help you to scan negatives and slides, but not at this event.

  • Yes, we will be filming and photographing the event for promotional and educational purposes. If you’re comfortable, we may ask you to share your experience in a short interview.
